Making music tuition simple for schools
we find Guitar and Drums teachers in your area
Finding qualified, DBS certified guitar and drums teachers in your school’s catchment area can be difficult, and we know that there aren’t enough hours in the day for school staff to handle more scheduling for your students. Music in Schools UK exists to take on those responsibilities for you, so that your students’ overall education can be enhanced by music tuition, not compromised.
we keep Music Alive in Schools
We work closely with local qualified and DBS certified guitar and drums tutors alongside other music services and peripatetic music teachers within schools. If your school would like to offer our music tutoring programmes to your pupils for the next academic year, we ensure a smooth transition for any current guitar and drums learners and welcome new starters.
Throughout the school year we organise special assemblies which include short performances from our tutors (who have all performed professionally previously, some have even appeared on national TV!), to inspire the next generation of aspiring musicians.
we take care of the Admin
Enrolment forms, invoicing and collection of fees for music lessons can be time consuming and a strain on a school office. Music in Schools take charge of all the administration relating to guitar and drums tuition and collect fees direct from parents. To keep payments affordable for parents we offer termly payment instalments. We’ll work closely with your school to make sure tuition timetables work for the pupils’ individual needs.
Becoming a participating school in our music tutoring programme comes at no cost to schools. Music in Schools require children and parents to commit to music tutoring with us for a minimum of one academic year (with a minimum cancellation period of one term’s notice). We keep music tutoring fees accessible and offer termly payment instalments to make payments easier for parents.
We provide participating schools with an electronic drum kit to be set up at your school and used for drums lessons and student practise. The electronic drum kit has low noise rubber pads and is used with headphones or a small speaker, therefore will not disturb any neighbouring school lessons or activities. Guitar students are asked to bring their own guitar with them on their lesson day.
We require just two things from our participating schools:
What do we require from your school?
A suitable room to accommodate 1:1 music lessons
students with commitment and an interest in music
